Preface
This project, for one reason or another, was never fully realized and ended up being a lot of wasted time for both me and my colleagues. However I took this as an opportunity to create some high quality product renders and some fun content that Downstream does not get to create very often.
Many of the designs in this project were the work of my colleagues Dan Zimmerman and Jordan Hull however my contributions will be more prominently displayed.
The Dream
Powerplant Park was a very large scale endeavor on the Richmund waterfront promising to be a agricultural community and campus. 44 indoor greenhouses, state-of-the-art propagation, processing, manufacturing, extraction, kitchen, packaging, local delivery and statewide distribution. However their main focus was on their delivery and storefront model complete with drive through infrastructure as well as a campus of marijuana based manufacturing community.

Challenges
This project was over the span of maybe a couple weeks which is not a lot of time to sketch or come up with a lot of ideas. But understanding the time crunch allowed us to actually get somewhere even if it wasn’t exactly where we would have liked.
Lessons
Making the most of every opportunity. Even though this project never got off the ground there were still a lot of really good ideas thrown around and some great collaboration. No one had ever asked me to create 3D content for product design purposes so I was very satisfied with how my knowledge of C4D was able to translate to a different discipline.
